Volunteer Center

The Volunteer Center is honored to announce that we will be presented with the "Volunteer Leadership Award" at the 3rd Annual Acappella Gospel Music Fest sponsored by the Community Volunteer Agency. 

The event will be held on September 11, in connection with the National Day of Service and Remembrance, and will feature some of West Michigan's best acappella singers.  The Community Volunteer Agency will be recognizing all of West Michigan's volunteers, their friends, and families at the celebration.

College students heading back to school may want to consider our skills-based opportunity of the week. The Gerald R. Ford Job Corps Center is looking for individuals interested in participating in various on-center internship opportunities. 

Interns are needed in the following areas:  counseling. academic, and  mental health departments, as well as other areas of the program. Internships can be coordinated and designed to fit the individual needs of the candidate and would provide on-site training and experience working with at-risk, diverse, young adults.

The Volunteer Management Association of Western Michigan (VMAWM) is gearing up for the new season of activities.  If you're a volunteer manager, mark your calendar for the networking event on September 21, 2010.
