College Students: We've Got Your One-Stop Resource for Volunteer Opportunities

For students, college is a time for new beginnings and new opportunities.  Why not make that new volunteer opportunities?!  Through volunteering, you learn more about the community, meet new friends, discover your passion, and gain work experience.

With valuable input from the Collegiate Network, a collaboration of West Michigan Higher Education Institutions, the Volunteer Center has developed our new HandsOn Connect system to house volunteer opportunities for all the local colleges and universities.

Watch the 1-minute video below to learn how you can get connected to new opportunities and become part of a community of service.

The Collegiate Network is a collaboration of West Michigan Higher Education institutions and representatives of their civic engagement-based departments and programs.  Several times throughout the year, members of the Collegiate Network gather together to share best practices and to facilitate workshops targeting nonprofits on how to purposefully engage college students in their organizations.  Membership institutions include: Aquinas College, Calvin College, Davenport University, Grand Rapids Community College, and Grand Valley State University.
