Are You a Nonprofit Organization Looking for Volunteers?
The Volunteer Center has been supporting nonprofit agencies since 1983; more recently, we have reached out to include schools and government organizations in our services.
We value partnership with a diverse group of organizations, enabling our non-profit community to maximize strengths and resources.
We are your local volunteering resource:
- Your opportunities are distributed to potential volunteers from companies large and small, colleges and universities, area high schools, many other organizations and the media.
- We keep you up-to-date on the latest news from our local partners such as the Johnson Center for Philanthropy, the Young Nonprofit Professionals of Greater Grand Rapids, the Volunteer Management Association of Western Michigan and more!
- You receive special invitations to submit projects for corporate volunteer days and the Day of Caring.
- We connect you to many ways to recognize and reward your volunteers.
We offer several ways to work together:
- If you need to recruit volunteers, you can post opportunities online at Volunteer Solutions.
- You can connect to Project Blueprint graduates and other qualified candidates for board and committee positions through our Board Connections service.
- Our new Skill-Based Volunteering database is the perfect place to recruit volunteers and teams with the specialized business and technical skills you need.
- United Way’s annual Day of Caring and other corporate volunteer days offer you the opportunity to connect with active companies in our community.
If you would like to start recruiting volunteers, please post your opportunities online now!
